Job description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Oversee the financial integrity and transparency of financial reporting
?Ensure compliance with local statutory reporting requirements and have a deep knowledge on local tax law
?Be responsible for the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports
?Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards to comply with Stanley Black and Decker policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
?Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with US GAAP
?Develop and maintain strong and consistent accounting and closing procedures that support both business and corporate requirements
?Conduct balance sheet and account reconciliation reviews with all locations
?Drive focus and achievement on the Controllership Scorecard
?Drive Finance Transformation initiatives and take charge of the post close process
?Actively engage with the business to understand financial statement performance and identify trends, take proactive approach to align continuous improvement projects with Financial Objectives
Desired Skills and Experience
?10 years of progressive experience and responsibility in finance and accounting and solid managerial experience, preferably in US Listed MNC
?SAP experience preferred but knowledge of other ERP is acceptable
?Professional English written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
?Ability to communicate accounting issues in a concise yet thorough manner to non-finance personnel
?Able to build cross-functional relationships, influence and interact with all levels in the organization
?Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
?Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
