CT Operation Project Manager

Objective
· Designs the architecture of the global supply chains for the High Level Assembly (HLA) of CT/AMI product such as Couches, DMS, Console to in line with the BU strategy and the IS OPS strategy.
· The Operation Project Manager (OPS PM) leads worldwide cross-functional groups and is in the lead for the execution and release of new product introductions in the supply chain and sustaining the production throughout the product life cycle.
· The OPS PM drives the optimization of the supply chain processes and product design to complement business goals and supply chain strategy. Drives activities related to sustain and improve production, cost, throughput-time and quality.
Key Area of Responsibility
PRP Supply Chain Project Mgmt
· Designs the architecture of the global supply chains in line with the BU strategy and the IS OPS strategy.
o Identify the impact of new products on the supply chain architecture in order to develop the architecture. Develop the required architecture and solutions, initiate the deployment and define guidelines for implementation.
o Typical of the supply chain architecting is the broadness of the role, the holistic view and the capability to take the BU and IS Operations strategy into account when designing and making decisions. The following levels are distinguished: Concept (What?), Logical (How?), Physical Implementation (With what?).
o Manages constant communications with other stakeholders (eg. supply chain segments, development, marketing, service, finance) to ensure that all supply chain processes are aligned and other related requirements and expectations are met.
o Drives make buy decisions and is involved in supplier selection process
· Leads, manages, coordinates with (worldwide) cross-functional groups the execution, delivery and Sustaining the HLA of CT/AMI product
o Initiate and execute cost reductions
o Ensure a smooth production and delivery commitment.
o Phase out old products and minimizing scrap costs
o Manage project assets and obsolete project inventories and left-over’s.
· Drives Product Improvements with regard to cost, quality and failure rate,
· Develops and implements and manufacturing outsourcing.
· Proactively manages strategies and implementation of projects related to Material Obsolescence/Discontinuance.
Process Improvement
· Knows, is involved and contributes to projects for improving the new product introduction processes
· Knows, is involved and contributes to projects for improving the supply chain processes and infrastructure.
· Lead (breakthrough) projects for improving the manufacturability and new product introduction processes, implementing Design for Excellence principles, and identifying and managing significant material cost reduction opportunities
Know-How
· Possesses broad knowledge of the business operational, tactical and strategically goals
· Demonstrates expertise in engineering
· Stays up to date on the industrial activities of competitors and industrial processes.
· Uses highly developed knowledge in area of specialty.
Problem Solving
· Has to think conceptually in scenarios that are in line with our strategy in order to make decisions together with management. Has to think out of existing concepts and processes.
· Provides expert resolution of issues and monitors integration of work.
Accountability
· Executes project deliverables
· Contributes to successful project completion by participating in the project, and preventing and solving all kind of operational issues. .
Required Knowledge and Education
· Bachelor degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration with more than 5 years of experience within SC
· Knowledge of project management methods, costs estimation techniques etc.
· Excellent social and communicative skills, a good knowledge of the development organization, global supply chain organization and industrial footprint, processes and the products.
