Responsibilities
?Accountable for the daily management of team activities, including serving as the technical leader for assigned area of responsibility.
?Conduct regular staff meetings, including the creation and distribution of agendas that include issue discussions, shared learning, and team metrics.
?Prioritize, balance, and assign work to AP Customer Service Associates. Define and monitor “high priority” invoices that require further escalation and process those invoices personally. Resolve issues as appropriate and escalate issues further as needed.
?Collect, compile and monitor metrics with particular emphasis on cycle time. Monitor aging and timely resolution of exception items in Buyers’ work queue.
?Train new hires on current processes and systems; train all staff on any new processes or systems that are integrated into the department.
?Ensure department systems and procedures are in compliance with company policies.
?Seek and recommend process improvements for departmental procedures.
?Participate in and actively support the integration of new businesses into Shared Services Center.
?Participate in the monthly AP closing process and ensure relevant information is properly provided to Accounting in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
?Enforce and enhance internal control structure and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley control objectives.
Requirements
?Education / Experience:?Bachelors in Accounting/Business with 3+ years of experience OR equivalent combination of experience and education required.
?Minimum of 1 – 2 years experience in supervision or lead role in a finance or accounting function required.
